Feedback

We Recently performed a pitch to our class speaking about the music video we will creating; talking about the ideas we have made; with regards to the audience profile, influences, potential risks and technical aspects, as well as what we want to achieve during the production of the music video. Below displays some of feedback which will help us improve the ideas for our video: ' What did you mean by your influences from Cunningham?' Most people thought that I meant Chris Cunningham was an influence in relation to abnormal his videos are, but I was influenced more by the way he filmed in his videos which I thought was strange and artistic, I wasn't going to add extremely weird things into our video. 'Performance element - could have a band set higher say on crates or hay bales so they are looking down on the riot? And how are you going to organise actors for the riot scenes?' That's a great idea and if it's possibly I will use this in our video, but in relation to the riots, i think we are scratching that idea as it will be extremely difficult to create a riotous feel to our video, so we will use the idea of a rather big group of friends causing trouble, with an anarchic style instead which in my opinion will be just as good. 'How will you achieve CCTV shots?' An idea we thought of was we can make use of a high angle shot and film, then we will have to edit the shot; put it into black and white and insert numbers/dates which will make it seem a legitimate CCTV camera. 'Do you have permission to use the barn?' Not at the moment, but we will find a suitable barn which we could use. We watched a music video which was made by a student last year at this college and we have recently emailed him asking about the location and how they got permission to use it. 'Black and white effect sounds good, what about lighting?' We will make use of natural lighting for a a lot of our filming outside, although we will make use of torch lighting, as well as lighting from a fire and also maybe use some artificial lighting. For the live performance we will use artificial lighting.
